In August 2020, I decided to make a career change, moving from the advertising and marketing sector into the world of design.
What I’m about to share is one of the projects I’m most proud of—both from a design perspective and on a personal level.
As part of a challenge at Ironhack, we were given a brief: “Create a digital product for either the banking sector or the social sector.” I knew from the start that I was much more interested in the social space. It took me some time to narrow down the concept, but I eventually saw a unique opportunity to support a group that faces significant challenges: people with disabilities.
There is a major gap when it comes to digital accessibility and personal autonomy for this community.
More about the project here
One of the key aspects of this project wasn’t just listening to the parents and caregivers—it was spending an entire day with them.
The interface had to be simple and accessible: tablet format, with preferably large elements, as fine motor skills can be limited. Below, you’ll find the ideal path.
